Frequently Asked Questions

  • The pulse oximeter measures the SpO2 (blood oxygen level) and the pulse rate. It does not measure blood pressure.

  • The pulse oximeter measures both the heart/pulse rate.

  • The display range for the oximeter pulse rate is between 25 bpm to 250 bpm.

  • The pulse oximeter simply gives real-time readings of the pulse rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2). It does not record data.

  • The pulse oximeter simply provides readings for your pulse rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2). You may want to check with your physician, who will be in a better position to advise on what to look out for, especially if you have a medical condition like a-fib.

  • The pulse oximeter is calibrated to work at sea level. While you can still use it at high elevation, you will need to know the normal range of your SpO2 at that elevation. Every individual is different, and your doctor would be in the best position to provide the most accurate answer to this question. For this reason, we advise you to consult your physician.

  • The pulse oximeter does not have a memory function and does not save your last reading. It will give you a reading as long as you have your finger inside the finger chamber. Once you take your finger out, the pulse oximeter will turn off after 10 seconds. Since it does not record data, it is not meant to be used overnight or during sleep.
